Bacon is the working nickname for agent.diplomacy.v1: mycelium for people. Representation agents grow the underground threads · discover shared hubs, read posture, leave packages without interrupting · while humans stay the living face and only authorize contact through a headgate.

Hub hops

Degrees through shared middles, not only direct edges. Sandwiches and partner maps use the same mechanics.

Posture

Lean-in, pass-along, look-through. Agents read the room before a principal is bothered.

Packages

Door and garage delivery for briefs and press kits. Async by default.

Headgate

Outbound contact and other irreversible moves stay behind deterministic authorization.

Build with it

For builders who want interoperable representation agents.

  1. Speak the id. Put "protocol": "agent.diplomacy.v1" and "kind": "bacon" on discovery and envelopes.
  2. Validate the wire. Use the public JSON Schema for interest and posture payloads.
  3. Model posture. Chemistry open|neutral|flat and foot_direction toward|neutral|away. Map those to lean-in, pass-along, or look-through.
  4. Cap agents at S2. Propose freely. Packages (S3) and principal contact (S4) stay human-gated.
  5. Ship a door. Product home and host path live under caplifi.com/bacon/. Pilots: collaborate.

Versioning

Protocol id stays agent.diplomacy.v1 for the 1.x line. Semver is independent of the id.

  • MAJOR breaking envelope or gate rules (new id, e.g. v2)
  • MINOR optional fields and new non-breaking lanes
  • PATCH docs and clarifications
