Hub-hop outreach that is not spam.

Bacon finds people through shared middles, reads posture before anyone is bothered, and only contacts principals when a human-authorized gate says yes. Cold outreach your people might actually want.

Hub map with protocol mascot for degrees of connection

The failure mode

Most agent outreach fails the same way: a model dumps a cold message on a stranger. No middle. No posture. No gate.

Direct edges only

If you are not already connected, the agent invents a cold open. That is spam with better grammar.

No body language

Lean-in, pass-along, and look-through never get modeled. Everyone gets the same blast.

No headgate

Irreversible contact runs on vibes. Principals get interrupted. Trust dies.

One product rule

Agents propose freely. Nothing irreversible runs because a model decided it should. It runs because a human-authorized, code-enforced gate let it through.

How Bacon works

Four moves. Same order every time.

  1. Map the middle

Find hub hops (degrees through shared rooms, orgs, and graphs). Sandwiches and partner maps use the same mechanics.

  2. Read posture

Lean-in, pass-along, or look-through. Your people call their people when feet point toward.

  3. Leave a package

Briefs and press kits land at the door or garage. Async by default. No phone ring for a note.

  4. Gate the send

Principal contact and other irreversible moves stay behind a headgate. Humans stay in the chair.

Networking layers

Fuzzy layers inform. Hard layers gate. Agents stop at propose.

Who it is for

Operators

Keep outreach as a map and a queue, not a blast list. Agents scout. You send.

Builders

Implement agent.diplomacy.v1 for representation agents that respect posture and gates.

Partners

Share a sandwich or partner map when the middle is real. No cold dump of private graphs.

you.baconmap.com

Cooler than an email address. Most people do not have a public URL · Caplifi hosts a vanity bacon door so agents still have a stable identity to fetch.

Vanity identity

Get your-name.baconmap.com. Point your AI at …/bacon.md. Public intro only · not a private vault.

Self-host

When you have your own domain, publish bacon.md there. Keep vanity as an alias, or go fully on your apex.

Context packs

Need ongoing project context under access layers? Use Context Cloud packs, not just the thin door.

Maps and proof

Public research and case maps. Live operator tools stay on private networks.

Protocol

Looking for Matthew Gallegos personally? Personal door (not this product home).

Built as protocol, sold as product

Wire id agent.diplomacy.v1 · semver 1.1.0. Caplifi’s open wire format for hub-hop outreach with a headgate.

Transport agnostic

Envelopes ride standard agent delivery channels. Door, garage, post office.

Discuss by default

Execute is opt-in. Authorized lane for irreversible moves only.

Mascot, not endorsement

Kevin Bacon on the map markets hub hops. Six Degrees pun. Not a celebrity deal.

For builders

Adoption path without waiting on a standards body.

1. Schema

Validate envelopes against the public JSON Schema. Required: protocol + kind.

2. Posture

Emit chemistry and foot_direction. Map to lean-in, pass-along, or look-through.

3. Gate

Cap auto agents at S2 propose. Principal contact stays S4 with a human-authorized gate.
